Paragon Mother Goose Series Saucer by Chloe Preston - (Sold)

A scarce Paragon porcelain child's saucer, hand painted in enamels, from the Mother Goose series introduced in 1918 and designed by Chloe Preston. The saucer is decorated with an illustration of a little boy, with rod and line fishing from a pail of water with his pet dog by his side watching attentively, and the nursery rhyme "Simple Simon went a-fishing, For to catch a whale, All the water he had got, Was in his mother's pail.". Condition is excellent with no damages or restorations, scratches or wear. Marked to base with the Paragon Star mark and "PARAGON CHINA ENGLAND Mother Goose Series".
