Paragon Future Telling Cup & Saucer by J. A. Robinson - (Sold)

A Paragon China Future Telling Cup & Saucer designed by J. A. Robinson and dating to the late 1920s.The rhyme on the cup reads "When Eric grows up, A fine soldier he'll be,What shall I be?" and around the rim are the words,Teacher , Seamstress , Housekeeper , Nurse. The legend on the saucer reads "What shall we be married in?" and around the rim are the words, Silk Satin Muslin, Rags Plus fours Oxford bags (repeated twice). Condition is good with no chips, cracks or restorations however some of the words are rubbed but readable.
Both cup and saucer are hand painted and bear the name J. A. Robinson below the illustrations. They also both are marked to the base with the Paragon Star mark and PARAGON FINE BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND The Childs Future Telling Series REGD COPYRIGHT.
This series is very scarce and pieces are now hard to find.
