1920s Paragon China Beatrice Mallet Series Teapot

A 1920s Paragon China Teapot with the main design by Beatrice Mallet of a little boy with a blue driver's hat and a little girl with scarf blowing in the wind, both wearing driving goggles seated in an open top car of the period, with the number plate WE 2 and the rhyme on the front "It's fun to have a ride Tucked cosily inside" also bearing the printed signature of Beatrice Mallet on the lower rim.The other side of the teapot has an illustration of a little boy watering a rose with a garden hose and with the rhyme "A rose tree in Bob's garden grows And this he waters with a hose".The lid is decorated with several small vignettes and surmounted by a bluebird finial.
Condition is excellent with no damages or restorations, and little or no wear to the printed and hand painted enamel illustrations.
Marked to the base with the Paragon star mark plus PARAGON FINE BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND Beatrice Mallet Series. Also handmarked to the base with the series pattern number "7636/1".
