Stock No. 310

A 1920s (or earlier) whistle egg cup modelled as a steam train engine and decorated with brown and lilac lustre glazes with black detailing. Whistle eggcups of this period are now very scarce and were largely made in Germany for the the British market, It is marked with a circular stamp to base, reading "Foreign", which is preferentially how German pre war eggcups were marked in those periods (rather than using "made in Germany"). Condition is very good but with some of the brown lustre glaze absent on one side.
