Lustre Pottery Walking Ware X-Legs Ltd. Ed. Teapot
Stock No. 292
Cross Legged ("X-Legs") Walking Ware
teapot. Designed and made by
Roger Michell
at his
Lustre Pottery
and decorated by
Danka Napriokowska
. This was meant to be one of a limited edition of only 500, however, only 60 out of the quota of 500 pots were in fact produced before the moulds were destroyed, so these are now very scarce (see "Walking Ware A Collectors Guide" by Julia Michell - now available for instant purchase - use the "Walking Ware Book" link to the left of the main picture).
Each pot was numbered and initialled by Roger Michell (the original designer of all Walking Ware for Carlton Ware and Lustre Pottery) under the glaze on the bottom of a foot.("RM" for Roger Michell and "DN" for Danka Napiorkowska).
This example is numbered 41. A limitation certificate signed by Roger Michell will also be provided.
