Paragon China Tinker Tailor Series Plate by Louis Wain (Sold)

A rare Paragon China "Tinker Tailor Series" tea plate, introduced in 1918, designed by Louis Wain, entitled "The Aeroplane Journey" and incorporating his signature below the design. The plate is transfer printed and hand decorated in coloured enamels, and the illustration depicts two cats dressed in suits seated upright in the open cockpit of an aeroplane of the period.
Condition is fairly good with no damage or restoration but it does have some surface scratching through use at some time. This has not affected its overall display.
Marked to the base with the Paragon star mark and "PARAGON CHINA ENGLAND Tinker Tailor Series"
