Carlton Ware Lustre Pottery Walking Ware Caribbean Tea set

A scarce Walking Ware Caribbean inspired decoration RJS tea set comprising cross-legged teapot and lid, cross-legged sugar bowl and lid and milk jug which was designed by Roger Michell for Carlton Ware and Lustre Pottery around 1979/80.
The tropical design was inspired by a visit to St. Lucia and was only applied to a small number of the RJS (Running Jumping and Standing-still) sets which had just come out at that time. These tropical decoration Walking Ware tea sets complete with the particularly difficult to find milk jug and sugar with lid, are now quite scarce.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration.
Marked to the bases with the semi-circular Carlton Ware / Lustre Pottery combined backstamp used for that series.

Teapot height (To top of finial on lid) : 9 ins.
Sugar Bowl height (To top of finial on lid) : 7 ins.
Milk Jug height : 4.5 ins.
