1940s/ 50s "Boo Boo" figure & a mushroom by Mabel Lucie Attwell

An original and very scarce ceramic blue 'Boo Boo' , modelled peeping out from behind a mushroom, designed by Mabel Lucie Attwell and produced in small numbers by Shelley in the later 1940s/ early 1950s.
The base is marked "MABEL LUCIE ATTWELL" to its top. The underside of the base bears the post war Shelley backstamp and the model number LA 23 - (see pics above). Condition is excellent.
